The Wells Fargo Bank of New York will close on June 23, 2018, as part of the reopening of its Boston headquarters, according to a company statement.
Wells Fargo will also reopen its Wells Fargo Place, a branch located at 556 Newbury Street, in Boston.
The company said it would also open an additional branch in Brooklyn.
Coopers Llanos Boston Branch, located at 555 Newbury St. in Boston, will reopen in July 2018, the statement said.
The bank said in a statement on Friday that it is committed to improving its financial health and is investing in its corporate and customer relationships.
“While we know the process for our Boston offices is complex, we believe we can and will make meaningful improvements,” the statement read.
The bank is closing Wells Fargo’s Boston Branch and Wells Fargo Plaza branches in Boston and Brookline, as well as its Newbury Place branch, which is located at 846 Newbury and will close in June.
The announcement comes on the heels of Wells Fargo closing a branch in Stoughton, which will reopen on June 13.
The company is also closing the Newbury Plaza branch in Brookline.
The Wells Fargo Boston Branch in Boston is now closed for the time being.
Wells also announced on Thursday that it will close its Albany branch and will reopen it in June 2019.
