The first wave of Hurricane Maria has already begun to hit Puerto Rico, and officials say they are anticipating a much larger storm on the horizon.
Officials from the U.S. territory’s Office of Emergency Management say Puerto Rico has experienced more than 4,400 fatalities since Maria made landfall.
The death toll has risen to 6,931.
A federal judge on Wednesday ordered Puerto Rico to begin a mandatory evacuation of all residents and businesses in the affected areas and ordered authorities to help people move out of shelters.
